Colour. Pattern. Form

Much of my art has reflected my seaside upbringing in Golden Bay and current home Motunau Beach. Mother Nature’s fossicked beach treasures remain a constant source of inspiration. 

In my ceramic exploration there has been a strong use of bold pattern usage and colour dynamics with simplicity of form at the forefront. Having studied graphic design much of this invaluable knowledge has instinctively been woven through my work. Techniques enjoyed are coiling, slab rolling and the use of clay monoprints.

I look forward to a return to brush and canvas to enrich my artistic repertoire.
